Focus where
it counts.

CGX Enterprise Partners works where enterprise performance is constrained by the way operating models, technology, data, capital and accountability come together. Our mandates concentrate on four areas where clearer structure and experienced operator judgement can materially improve the path forward.

01

Operating Model Design & Reset

Clarify how decisions are made, accountability is held and enterprise capability is organised.

Operating models fail when authority, service boundaries and incentives no longer match the work. CGX EP helps executive teams define decision rights, operating accountabilities, governance and capability boundaries that allow the organisation to execute with greater clarity and less dependence on individual heroics.

Where this applies

  • Decision rights and accountabilities are blurred across functions, business units or group structures
  • Growth, acquisition or restructuring has exposed incompatible operating models and service boundaries
  • Performance depends on a small number of individuals bridging structural gaps through personal effort

02

Transformation Governance & Value Realisation

Protect the investment by governing the business conditions required for value.

Transformation is not secured by a plan, vendor contract or program structure alone. CGX EP helps leadership test operating readiness, align capital with delivery capacity, clarify benefits ownership, and reset governance when activity has overtaken outcomes.

Where this applies

  • A major ERP, digital, data or AI investment is approaching commitment without sufficient evidence of business readiness
  • The business case, sequencing, delivery capacity and ownership of benefits are no longer aligned
  • An in-flight program is consuming capital while confidence in the outcome continues to decline

03

Cross-Border Opportunity & Operating Models

Connect market need to credible capability, then structure the relationship to work.

CGX EP focuses on opportunities between Australia and Vietnam, with Southeast Asia as the broader operating context. We help organisations clarify what they need from the other market, identify credible customers, suppliers, partners or specialist capability, and shape the commercial and operating conditions required to determine whether and how to proceed. Where a cross-border relationship already exists, we help address misalignment in expectations, governance, service boundaries and accountability.

Where this applies

  • An Australian business is seeking Vietnamese capability, supply or market access but lacks a qualified path forward
  • A Vietnamese business is seeking Australian customers, partners, capability or a route to market
  • An existing cross-border delivery, supplier or commercial relationship is losing value through unclear expectations, governance or accountability

04

Board & Executive Counsel

Independent operator judgement before a consequential decision hardens into commitment.

CGX EP provides direct counsel to boards, founders, CEOs and technology leaders facing material choices about operating structure, technology investment, leadership, sourcing or transformation. The role is to expose the trade-offs, test the underlying assumptions and strengthen the decision. Advice remains independent of any vendor or implementation agenda.

Where this applies

  • A board or investment committee needs independent challenge before approving, continuing or resetting a material commitment
  • Executive confidence in the technology strategy, program position or vendor narrative has weakened
  • A CEO, CIO or executive team needs confidential counsel on operating-model choices, capability, capital sequencing or leadership decisions

Defining a mandate.

CGX EP does not begin with a predetermined solution or an open-ended delivery team. We begin by defining the decision, constraint or exposure that matters, then establish the authority, evidence and boundaries required to address it.

Some mandates end with that clarity. Others continue into a bounded operating-model reset, governance intervention or period of executive counsel. CGX EP does not resell technology or assume delivery accountability by default. Any deeper involvement is separately scoped against the authority and conditions required to control the outcome.

How we engage

Structure over heroics.
Outcomes that compound.

Heroic intervention can create short-term momentum, but it rarely creates an organisation that can sustain it. Durable performance comes from explicit ownership, usable governance, disciplined capital decisions and operating rhythms that hold when pressure rises.

CGX EP helps leadership replace reliance on individual effort with structures that make sound execution repeatable. The objective is not more process. It is clearer decisions, earlier intervention and capability that strengthens through use.

When those conditions remain after the mandate ends, each subsequent decision becomes better informed and less dependent on external support. That is how outcomes compound.
